Shamelessly cute picture of baby tiger being bottle fed here
This baby tiger that 1/2 of Amphigory is bottlefeeding in this photo is a huge full grown tiger now - they grow amazingly fast!

Great Cats of Indiana is a rescue and animal preserve that we at Amphigory are fortunate enough to live near.

What do they do? Well, they take animals that either were no longer wanted by their owners, animals that have been confiscated from those who had no permit to keep them legally, or animals that were rescued from abusive situations. They have many years of experience behind them in dealing with these animals and great veterinary care available to them 24 hours a day.

We donate to Great Cats of Indiana - the items you purchase from us can make a difference. You will see on some of our product pages a note if $1.00 or more from the purchase of the item goes to Great Cats of Indiana.

Unlike some charities, the money you donate to Great Cats of Indiana goes primarily to help the animals they care for, not to stage huge marketing campaigns. We encourage you to visit their website and see their latest brochure (which you can download there) for the breakdown of how money donated is spent.

We have been visiting their facility for a few years now and have been impressed with the care that they give their animals and with the beauty and majesty of the animals they care for. They currently have cougars, tigers, bears, jungle cats, coyotes, wolves, a cerval, a bobcat and lions.

Like many charities, Great Cats of Indiana is dependent on donations from folks like you and I - each animal can eat over 10lb of meat per day, enclosures cost money to build and they depend on volunteers for labor to help them build more enclosures. This is where they can use your help!

By donating to them directly you can help them get many of the things they need - like food for the animals, a freezer to store meat that has been donated to them, to pay for material for enclosures, to buy the vet equipment that they need, etc. The best thing you can do for Great Cats of Indiana is to donate to them and spread the word about them! =) You can also now buy things from their online store to help support their rescue efforts. =)
